Come as you are, Come to worship
11:00 a.m. – Praise & Worship
What to Expect
It is a casual, “Come as You Are” worship service where you will worship to Praise and Worship music led by our praise band, hear the Scriptures read and the Word proclaimed, and hear a challenging and uplifting message. The service is generally 45-50 minutes long.
Our traditional worship service is rooted in our United Methodist heritage, one rich in an historic style of worship. In this service, you will worship with traditional hymns and liturgy, hear the God’s Holy Word proclaimed, and be challenged in the message. The service is about 45-50 minutes long.
There is no dress code. We invite everyone to come as they are. Join us dressed in one’s best, dressed casually, or somewhere in-between; however you come is just fine.
We partake of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. In the Methodist Church, we practiced what is known as the open table. This means that all persons are invited to the Lord’s Table to take communion in an attitude of worship and reverence.
Worship Team and Information:
Praise Him and Worship with Us
Normally, our traditional worship service will be led by the pastor and a worship leader in the congregation, with music led by our music director, pianist, and choir. Our praise service is led by the pastor with music led by our praise band with the guitars, violin, piano, and cajon.
Uplift, Inspire, & Instruct
In our worship service, you will hear a sermon grounded in Holy Scripture and designed to uplift, inspire, and instruct persons on how to accept and grow in a loving relationship with the triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), experience God’s freely given grace, and live out the Good News in their lives through service and love. In our traditional service, the message will normally be based upon one of the Scripture readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. And our praise and worship, the message will normally be a part of a sermon series that is also based on God’s Holy Word.
